Christopher is a Middle Temple Scholar of 2023.

Called to the Bar in 2022, Christopher was appointed as a Judicial Assistant of the Court of Final Appeal in the same year, where he conducted legal research on cases coming before the Court and prepared bench memoranda on appeals and leave applications for the Chief Justice, Permanent Judges, and Non-Permanent Judges of the Court, including Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury, former President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom; and Mr Justice Robert French, former Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia.

Christopher is developing a broad civil practice with a focus on contractual and commercial disputes, company and insolvency matters, debt recovery claims, matrimonial matters, and land and property matters. He has been instructed by high net-wealth private clients, licensed money lenders, and statutory public body to advise and act on a range of disputes. On the criminal side, Christopher appears regularly in the Magistrates’ Court and has been instructed to appear in the High Court.

Christopher joined Chambers upon completion of pupillage with Mr Anson Wong SC JP, Mr Valentine Yim, Mr Charles J Chan, Mr Eugene Yim, and Mr Vincent Chen. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and is experienced in preparing legal documents in both simplified and traditional Chinese.

  • Re Cheng Jonathan (HCB 1888/2024): Acted for the debtor in opposing a bankruptcy petition on the grounds that the debtor does not submit to the jurisdiction of Hong Kong, the Petitioner is an unlicensed money lender, and the effective interest of the loan which gives rise to the petitioning debt exceeds 60% p.a. (led by Mr Anson Wong SC)
  • Re China Zenith Chemical Group Ltd (HCCW 243/2023): Application for substitution as petitioner in a winding-up petition (sole advocate)

  • FLCC 2251/2024: Acted for the defendant on whether under Section 4 of the Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third Party Risks) Ordinance (Cap 272), if the court for special reasons thinks fit to order otherwise, the mandatory 12-months disqualification from holding or obtaining a driving license shall be dispensed with or reduced to a period of less than 12 months (sole advocate)
  • HCCP 729/2024 (on review from WKCC 2700/2024): Acted for the defendant who was faced with a charge of wounding with intent to make a bail application; argued on an issue concerning the specific intent required for the charge (with Lydia Leung)
