Belinda joined the Bar with more than 17 years of tax and accounting experience, having worked as an in-house tax director at Credit Suisse (Hong Kong) Limited and a senior tax accountant at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.  She co-authored International Tax Law and Practice, 1st Edition and authored the 2021 Online Supplement.  She is also the Examiner for the International Tax Paper of the Certified Tax Adviser (CTA) Qualifying Examination.

After completing her pupillage with Mr. Derek Chan SC, Mr. Ashok Sakhrani, Ms. Wing Kay Po and Mr. Eugene Yim, Belinda is developing a broad legal practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.  In particular, she has extensive experience in tax law and has worked on a wide range of cases involving family law, commercial law, companies and securities law, commercial crime and personal injuries.

  • WSW v CSLPC [2022] HKFC 155 — assisted Mr. Eugene Yim in representing the Petitioner at the trial on ancillary relief
  • NWSA v CTYT [2021] HKFC 119 — appeared for the Respondent (with Mr. Eugene Yim) at trial on ancillary relief
  • Advising parties on various tax related issues including: (i) offshore claims; (ii) international tax aspects of corporate restructuring; (iii) tax enquiries and investigations by the Inland Revenue Department; and (iv) stamp duty disputes with the Inland Revenue Department
