Cyrus is developing a broad civil and family practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
He regularly acts in property and land disputes, including ownership disputes, adverse possession, and tenancy matters. His experience covers disputes concerning flats in multi-storey buildings, commercial premises, small houses, and open land.
Cyrus also accepts instructions in personal injury and employees’ compensation matters. Among other cases, he has successfully represented a renowned beauty salon in defending a personal injury claim on both liability and quantum.
His wider civil practice encompasses a broad range of matters, from commercial and contractual disputes and injunctions to contentious probate matters and mental health applications. He has acted in high-value cases, including successfully resisting an application for summary judgment in claims exceeding HK$150 million arising from loan repayment and dishonoured cheques.
In his family practice, Cyrus has handled applications for financial provision under different ordinances, including Cap. 481. He has experience in advising on and handling forum and jurisdictional disputes, including matters involving Hong Kong–Mainland marriages. In children’s matters, he has acted for parents and non-parents, including unmarried parents, in custody disputes before both the Family Court and the High Court in wardship proceedings.
In fulfilment of his social responsibility, Cyrus has also, on occasion, appeared for and advised clients on a pro bono basis through CLIX, hosted by Equal Justice Hong Kong.
Cyrus is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He is able to prepare written submissions and conduct hearings in both English and Chinese.

- Chan Chor Ki v Chung Gavin Sai Lun [2026] HKDC 1357 – acted for the defendant at trial in an action for repayment of loans, successfully defending part of the claim on limitation grounds.
- Kazna Investments Ltd v 朱寶兒 & Another [2025] HKCFI 1131; [2025] HKCFI 5897 – acted for the successful plaintiff in obtaining an order for delivery of vacant possession against trespassers, and subsequently, a supplemental order to clarify the co-ordinates of the subject lot.
- Wong Kwai Fa and Another v 陳慶文 [2026] HKDC 35 – acted for the successful Defendant in obtaining costs after the plaintiff withdrew an application for summary judgment for delivery of vacant possession of a flat.
- Super Win Transportation Company Ltd v Lam Lai Kuen & Another [2025] HKDC 1064 – acted for the successful plaintiff in obtaining summary judgment in a fraud claim against a contractor-cum-subcontractor.
- Lin Loi Hing v The Personal Representative of Lin Lok Shi also known as Lok Kiu (Deceased) [2024] HKCFI 3056 – acted for the successful plaintiff in obtaining declaratory relief for adverse possession against a deceased co-owner.
- CW v CC [2024] HKFC 92 (led by Anita Yip, SC) – acted for the petitioner wife in jurisdictional and forum challenges where both parties were living in the PRC at the time of the petition.
